Election Day

Election Day is determined by: The tuesday that follows the first Monday in November. The days                                                             that it fall is 2 to 9 of November.
United States House Representatives:

States in which Election Day is a civic holiday:  Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana,                                                                                    Michigan, Montana, West Virginia
Why is it  on Tuesday:  The  residents have to travel a long way to go vote, and they did not choose                                           Monday because the residents would have to start traveling on Sunday, which                                       was used to go to church.
